- Freelance Quantity Surveyor – Southam (Commercial team)
Responsibilities
- Report to Commercial Manager for tender pricing, risk assessments and contract drafting/negotiations.
- Work independently or as part of a supporting team on projects, managing cost and value reconciliations, Bottom Up and End Life Cost Reporting, Cash Management.
- Build strong working relationships with clients and internal/external colleagues.
- Contract administration: data reporting, record keeping, subcontract account management, payment, dispute management.
- Contribute to project performance discussions, providing commercial input to project strategy.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor position.
- Working knowledge of NEC contracts A, B and C.
- Experience in self-delivery works and within a civil contractor environment.
- Understanding of cost and time.
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm.
- Experience in subcontractor management.
Desirable
- Experience working on concrete structures such as viaducts and bridges.
- Experience with large subcontracts such as piling.
- Procurement of subcontractors.
