About the role

We are seeking a talented Lead Project Engineer to join our professional services team at Ekco. The role involves delivering transformational Public and Private Cloud migration and modernization projects. Our multidisciplinary, agile team collaborates closely with clients and internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the design, planning, and implementation of Public and Private Cloud projects for key clients.
  2. Collaborate with the Project Management team to deliver successful projects and solutions.
  3. Create detailed high-level and low-level design documents and project handover materials.
  4. Promote best practices within the professional services team.
  5. Work with various business units and stakeholders to support customer solutions.
  6. Serve as an escalation point for project issues and ensure resolution to customer satisfaction.
  7. Conduct regular one-to-ones with team members, setting objectives and development plans.
  8. Provide technical coaching and ensure documentation aligns with company standards.
  9. Monitor and report on KPIs weekly and monthly.

About You

You will have:

  • A strong customer focus with excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Extensive knowledge of Azure infrastructure services: Compute, Storage, Networking, Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Experience managing or implementing Private Cloud services, especially IaaS deployments.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams for successful outcomes.
  • Experience ensuring solutions comply with relevant standards and documentation (ISO).
  • Mentoring experience with Professional Services engineers.
  • At least 5 years\’ experience in a Cloud Managed Services professional role.

Desirable skills include:

  • Experience architecting environments across Physical, Virtualized, and Cloud platforms.
  • Managing or implementing Microsoft 365 services: Entra ID, Conditional Access, Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
  • Proficiency with Terraform.
  • Understanding of ITIL and service management frameworks.
  • Knowledge of on-premise networking and integration with cloud services.
