About the role
We are looking for a talented and dedicated Lead Azure Engineer to join our professional services team here at Ekco, delivering transformational Public Cloud migration and modernisation projects to our customers. We are a multi-disciplinary, agile team of experts covering activities relating to consulting and engineering, closely collaborating with our business colleagues and customers to ensure the best possible service is delivered to our customers.
Requirements
• Leading the design, planning and implementation of Public Cloud projects for key Ekco clients
• Working closely with the Project Management team to deliver exceptional projects and solutions
• Creating detailed high-level and low-level design and project handover documents to communicate solutions to clients and Ekco’s service delivery teams
• Driving the adoption of best practices within the professional services team
• Collaborating with business units and stakeholders across the architecture, commercial and technical teams to support the implementation of customer solutions
• Acting as an escalation point for project issues, taking ownership until the issue is resolved to the customers satisfaction
• Regularly conducting 121s with the team, ensuring each team member has objectives and development plans in place
• Providing technical coaching to team members, ensuring that technical documentation is maintained in line with Ekco standards and policies
• Ensuring KPI’s are hit for your team, reporting weekly & monthly to demonstrate this
About You
• A strong customer focus, with an ability to continually anticipate and meet customers’ needs, excelling in communicating at all levels within a customer organisation
• Excellent working knowledge of Azure infrastructure services; Compute, Storage, Networking, Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Ability to collaborate with and manage diverse cross-functional teams for successful customer outcomes
• Experience working to ensure customer solutions and services comply with the relevant product standards and internal documentation (in accordance with ISO certification)
• Experience mentoring and developing a team of like-minded Professional Services engineers
• A Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a Professional Services role for a Cloud Managed Services provider
The Desirables
• Experience architecting production environments across Physical, Virtualised and Cloud technologies
• Experience managing or implementing Microsoft 365 services; Entra ID and Conditional Access, Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint.
• Knowledge of DevOps best practices and CI/CD tools
• Demonstrable knowledge of Terraform
• Understanding of Service Management best practices frameworks such as ITIL
• Knowledge of on-premise networking principles and products and how they integrate with cloud services
