About The Role
East Kent Colleges Group are seeking a Complex Care Learning Support Practitioner to join the Group at EKC Canterbury College. As a Complex Care Learning Support Practitioner you will support students, who require assistance with complex health care and welfare needs and have a learning support need, to undertake a range of programmes and/or qualifications from entry 1 up to level 1 including Functional Skills English and maths. To work as a member of a team to support students in small groups or 1:1 in the classroom/workshop or community setting.

About You
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Complex Care Learning Support Practitioner to support our students with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). You will be passionate about supporting students with a complex and high level of need. Ideally, if you have experience with working alongside individuals who have Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties, including Global Development Delay, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, Rare Diseases or Sensory Impairments we would like to hear from you. You will have strong communication skills, an understanding of behaviour management, have a passion to inspire students to be active in learning, and work well under pressure. A background of special education needs is desirable.
