A highly regarded, full-service law firm with a strong reputation in the creative, technology and entrepreneurial sectors is seeking a UK qualified Trade Mark Attorney to join its growing Intellectual Property team. The firm advises an impressive and diverse client base, ranging from high-growth start-ups to global household names, and is known for combining sector expertise with a commercial, pragmatic approach. This role sits within a well-established and ranked trade mark practice, working closely with senior Trade Mark Attorneys and the wider IP team. The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of trade mark and design matters, supporting clients across industries including fashion, entertainment, e-sports, e-commerce, media and technology. You will be involved in high-quality, often cutting-edge work, including non-traditional marks and emerging brand protection issues, and will be given early responsibility within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising on registrability and filing strategy
  • Drafting trade mark specifications
  • Conducting clearance searches
  • Managing UK and international trade mark and design portfolios
  • Handling objections, oppositions and cancellations
  • Preparing evidence, submissions and reports
  • Instructing and coordinating overseas counsel
  • Drafting and reviewing coexistence and related agreements
  • Managing assignments, recordals and audits
  • Supporting client reporting, billing and relationship development
