A market-leading financial services regulatory team, our client is looking to recruit a talented non-contentious financial services regulatory lawyer, ideally with at least 1 year's post-qualification experience in consumer finance and fintech/payments regulation, although the role offers the opportunity to get additional exposure to many other areas of financial regulation. Outstanding newly qualified lawyers with relevant seat experience will also be considered.
The successful candidate will work on matters for a diverse client base of banks, financial institutions, private lenders, fintech businesses, major technology companies and high-profile retailers and the work is broad, varied and intellectually stimulating. You will have the opportunity to assist on cutting-edge matters, including the regulatory implications of emerging technologies such as AI, as well as issues relating to payments, consumer credit, digital assets and evolving regulatory frameworks.
Experience advising on payment arrangements and their regulatory treatment, the Consumer Credit Act, and the regulation of new forms of digital money would be particularly valuable.
