A leading national law firm with a strong technology client base is seeking to appoint a Partner to join its expanding Digital Regulation practice. The team, led by two senior partners, advises major online platforms on online safety, consumer regulation, digital markets legislation, AI governance and wider platform compliance.

Digital regulation is a core strategic priority for the firm, with instructions from high‑profile global clients and increasing demand linked to the Online Safety Act (OSA), the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers (DMCC) regime. To support this growth, the firm is seeking to build additional depth in online safety and content regulation, with a particular focus on OSA expertise.

Candidates should have experience in online safety, content regulation or platform governance. Knowledge of the gaming sector—including in‑app purchases, consumer fairness and emerging European developments such as the Digital Fairness Act—would be a valuable advantage, though not essential. The role is open to lawyers from private practice or in‑house backgrounds. It would suit a senior associate or managing associate seeking progression, though the firm is also open to experienced partners. Location is flexible.

Responsibilities

  • Advise major online platforms on online safety, consumer regulation, digital markets legislation, AI governance and wider platform compliance.
  • Support the firm in building additional depth in online safety and content regulation, with a particular focus on the Online Safety Act (OSA).
  • Assist in developing early‑stage client relationships or sector contacts.

Ideal Candidate

  • Technically strong in online safety, content regulation or digital platform governance.
  • Dynamic, collaborative and comfortable working across a broad digital regulatory landscape.
  • Interested in developing a practice within a supportive, ambitious team.
  • Able to bring early‑stage client relationships or sector contacts.
  • Motivated to work with major technology clients and help shape a growing practice.

Benefits

The team offers strong junior support, close collaboration with senior partners and a clear strategic mandate to build depth in a high‑growth area. This role provides an opportunity to take ownership of a developing practice within a firm investing heavily in digital regulation, suited to a lawyer with technical excellence, commercial awareness and the ambition to help shape a market‑leading online safety and content regulation offering.
