We are partnering with a fast-growing consultancy to help them find their first-ever legal hire – a switched-on, pragmatic In-House Paralegal to support their Head of Procurement. This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a newly created role with lots of scope to make your mark.

The consultancy has doubled their headcount in the last two years and now have four offices internationally, with another to follow soon in Canada. There’s travel involved, and you’ll be working across a range of sectors, particularly crypto, IT, and betting and gaming, so you’ll need to be comfortable operating in those spaces. The business covers procurement, finance and HR, with projects ranging from full-service outsourcing to hands-on transformation.

The role

The successful Paralegal will be the go-to for all things contracts. Typical work will include:

• Reviewing, redlining, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements (e.g. supplier contracts, NDAs)
• Advising internal teams on contract risks and terms
• Helping shape and implement new processes to improve how contracts are managed

About you:

• 18+ months’ experience as a paralegal, ideally in-house
• Strong experience of reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts e.g. supplier agreements and NDAs
• Someone who can operate with autonomy and common sense
• A flexible mindset – there’s not much legal infrastructure yet, so you’ll help build it
• Comfortable with ambiguity and working in “grey areas”
• Friendly, grounded, and collaborative
• This is a great fit for someone excited by the startup vibe but wanting the stability of a permanent role with a successful, organically growing company.

Logistics and culture:

• Salary: £45,000–£50,000
• Permanent, full-time role
• Hybrid: 10 office days/month, Thursdays are a must (team bonding, games, events)
• UK-based role with some travel

Career development:

There’s a clear path to grow here, with imminent plans to hire an additional Paralegal at the end of this year and a Lawyer further down the line. If you join with QWE under your belt, they will cover the cost of your SQE exams further down the line.

If you’re a confident, grounded paralegal ready to step into a broader, more dynamic role, in a fun, hardworking business, this could be the one! Please apply today to find out more.
