This is not simply a portfolio management role. You’ll be encouraged to become increasingly involved in the commercial and strategic aspects of clients’ brand protection, develop your own client relationships and take greater ownership of matters as your experience grows.
The Role
Working alongside highly regarded Trade Mark Attorneys and IP specialists, you’ll advise an impressive mix of UK and international clients across the full lifecycle of their brands.
Your work will include:
- trade mark clearance, filing and prosecution;
- UK and international portfolio management;
- opposition and cancellation proceedings;
- strategic brand protection and enforcement advice;
- coordinating international matters with overseas counsel;
- designs and related soft IP matters;
- direct client management and commercial advisory work; and
- involvement in business development and growing client relationships.
You’ll have the opportunity to take meaningful responsibility for your work rather than simply operating as part of a large prosecution machine.
What Are They Looking For?
You’re a UK-qualified Trade Mark Attorney, ideally between 1and 5 years’ PQE, with experience gained within a recognised intellectual property practice or full-servicelaw firm.
Technical ability is important, but the firm is equally interested in attorneys who are commercially astute, client-facingand ambitious.
You should want to build relationships with clients, understand their businesses and develop into a rounded IP adviser rather than focusing exclusively on prosecution work.
