An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Legal Professional to join the Privacy & Data Strategy team of a global media and entertainment business. This senior privacy role offers the chance to work on high-impact, data-driven projects in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, supporting privacy compliance and governance across international operations. The company’s Privacy team is made up of Lawyers from top law firms and other top-calibre in-house legal teams. It is a centralised department with a global reach, meaning its remit is extremely broad and varied. Whilst this is an initial six-month contract, the company intends this role to become permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with legal, tech, and business teams to maintain and enhance privacy compliance processes (GDPR and global frameworks).
- Support privacy-related documentation, including ROPAs, DPIAs, DSARs, and cross-jurisdictional registrations.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to embed privacy by design principles and manage data governance activities.
- Assist in developing privacy policies, training materials, and awareness initiatives.
- Provide operational support to in-house privacy lawyers on data and technology projects.
About You:
- 2+ years of experience in privacy/data protection (legal, operational, or compliance).
- Strong understanding of data flows, privacy frameworks, and risk assessment.
- Confident working independently with the ability to escalate key risks when needed.
- Comfortable operating in a global, matrixed organisation with cross-functional teams.
- IAPP certification or equivalent is desirable, but not essential.
