  • Lead Medical Receptionist
  • GP Surgery - Leicester
  • 25.5 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday - 1pm - 6:30pm
  • Permanent
  • £ 13.30ph rising to £13.80ph The role of the Lead Medical Receptionist will be too:
  • Lead the afternoon care navigation team
  • Provide day to day leadership to the team
  • Support the practice with a wide range of administration and care navigation duties
  • Allocate and prioritise workloads,
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues,
  • Support the day-to-day organisation of the reception and administrative team,
  • Identify and understand patient needs and requirements, through appropriate questioning
  • Carry out the same core reception and administrative duties alongside colleagues,
  • Maintain high standards of patient confidentiality.
  • Carry out all necessary general office duties
  • Take responsibility for coordinating and supporting the smooth running of the service. The suitable Lead Medical Receptionist will:
  • Have previous work history in a similar fast paced environment
  • Have experience working in a similar Team Leader role
  • Demonstrate a work history within healthcare
  • Be supportive and lead by example
  • Demonstrate an outgoing, friendly personality with a desire to meet new people
  • Have the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively
  • Be flexible to support the wider practice
  • Have the ability to stay calm under pressure and to be able to multi-task in a similar environment
  • Demonstrate a willingness to adapt to the changing working practices of a busy medical environment
  • Have good administrative, IT and keyboard skills The successful Team Leader will receive:
