Responsibilities

  • Lead all hospitality operations for the film festival, serving as the primary point of care for guests, filmmakers and judges
  • Along side our Judge Coordinator, you will manage judge transport and accommodation logistics, including scheduling and allocating transportation and accommodation, and ensuring a smooth and professional experience from arrival to departure
  • Work closely with the Event Team during the festival program and Gala, assisting with the organization of food, drink, guests and comfort

Ideal Candidate

  • Based in Edinburgh, highly organized, responsible and attentive with strong hospitality instincts. Must be flexible, people-focused and confident managing live logistics while maintaining a warm, professional presence.

What are we looking for?

The Edinburgh International University Film Festival (EIUFF), is expanding, and we\’re looking for talented, motivated, and creative individuals to join our volunteer team until July 2026. If you\’re passionate about film, events, and cultural programming, this is your chance to be a part of something special.

You don\’t need to be an expert in your field; if you are motivated, enthusiastic, and easy to work with, we\’ll give you the support and real-world experience to grow in your role. In return, you\’ll gain hands‑on experience, work with a dynamic and supportive team, enjoy fun socials and team activities, and build meaningful networks across the film, events, and wider creative industries.

Please note: We are only accepting applications from current university students or recent graduates (Class of 2023 or later).

These are volunteer roles, but they offer hands‑on experience, the chance to work closely with an inspiring team, and a meaningful role in delivering this annual event.
