Your new role
Eisai Manufacturing Limited (EML) is Eisai’s EMEA manufacturing hub, at the heart of delivering safe, compliant, and uninterrupted supply of medicines to patients across global markets. This role holds senior leadership accountability for the performance, resilience, and compliance of all EML IT services and business systems, acting as the bridge between GDBT (aka IT) and the manufacturing site. The role defines and drives the site’s digital and service strategy, ensuring systems and data-driven capabilities enable business performance, continuity, and long-term growth. It safeguards system integrity and availability, proactively managing risk, governing change and infrastructure, and protecting uninterrupted patient supply to global markets. As a senior leader, the role builds and leads high-performing teams, inspiring, coaching, and developing talent to deliver business outcomes beyond technology, while strengthening capability, governance, and ways of working to support both operational excellence and future transformation.
What are we looking for?
- This position is located at Hatfield. Hybrid working (at least 3 days on site).
- Strong understanding of GxP-regulated environments and system validation principles a must.
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline; advanced or professional qualifications advantageous.
- Certifications in IT service, delivery, or governance (ITIL, PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) desirable.
- A seasoned manager of people, capable of inspiring, coaching and developing others to create high performing teams that see beyond the technology and commit to the business outcome.
- Proven leadership of IT service and business systems in a pharma manufacturing environment.
- Strong track record delivering and operating GxP-compliant systems (validation, change control, data integrity).
- Experience defining or executing IT strategy, governance, and capability development at site or regional level.
- Experience delivering or supporting digital, data-driven transformation in operational settings.
- Demonstrated leadership of teams and vendors, including capability building and performance management.
- Strong ability to bridge IT and business stakeholders.
