Do you have communications training or experience? Could you build awareness of our new project documenting corporate lobbying on human rights and labour standards? The EIRIS Foundation, a London-based research, advice and advocacy charity that pioneers the next steps in sustainable finance, is looking for a Communications & Media Officer to build awareness of our Social LobbyMap project. The project assesses lobbying by businesses and their industry associations so that civil society and investors can hold them to account if they seek to weaken human rights due diligence or labour standards legislation and seeks to encourage constructive lobbying.

Reporting to the Head of Communications you will execute communication strategies that engage stakeholders, raise awareness of the project's goals and outcomes and help maximise the positive impacts of the project. You will also manage the project's social media presence, ensuring that all communications align with the project and foundation's mission and resonate with our target audiences and stakeholders. The immediate focus is on creating compelling content that tells the story of the project, managing our social media presence and executing and tracking the success of digital campaigns. Ongoing responsibilities will include assessing the effectiveness of our messaging by monitoring social media trends and public sentiment.

We are looking for someone with work experience or a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or Journalism with a good knowledge of Social Media Platforms (particularly LinkedIn). Experience of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or other content creation tools would be desirable. You will need strong written communications skills in English and promotional skills; you will bring attention to detail and a creative, proactive, and solution-oriented approach. You will provide occasional support with the logistics of events or webinars, such as coordination, scheduling, or communications-related administration. You will be able to work independently and in a small team while taking ownership of your projects; and you will share a commitment to our work and will need to have the right to work in the UK.

The Role:

  • Hybrid Working from London office at least two days a week
  • Fixed term contract (8-10 months)
  • Part-time (22.5 hrs per week) which can be worked flexibly around a general pattern to be agreed.

What we offer:

  • Salary £32,198 FTE = £19,319 part-time
  • Pension (9.5% employer, 5.5% employee)
  • 33 days holiday (inc public holidays) pro-rated
  • Annual training plan and critical illness insurance.

To Apply:

Closing Date: 15th February 2026

Interviews: to be held in London week beginning 1st March 2026

Please submit your CV, a cover letter (max 1 page) covering why you are applying, how you meet the selection criteria, what you will bring to EIRIS Foundation and when you are available to start.
