This is a genuine opportunity to join EIP's Tech & AI team at a real moment of change. Late last year we brought our IT function into a new Tech & AI function, and our focus now is delivering secure, responsible and people-centric AI right across the firm.

If you're genuinely excited by Artificial Intelligence and you love helping people get the best from technology, this role is made for you. You'll champion new tools — especially Microsoft Copilot and agentic solutions — support adoption initiatives across our offices, and help shape the firm's evolving AI strategy, all while staying hands-on with the troubleshooting and user support you enjoy.

Reporting to the Tech & AI Adoption Manager, you'll provide operational leadership for our front-line support function — the bridge between big-picture strategy and day-to-day delivery — and you'll deputise for your manager when needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Help run the day-to-day Tech & AI Support Desk and act as the escalation point for more complex technical issues.
  • Champion AI, automation and emerging technologies across the firm, and support the rollout of Microsoft Copilot and agentic solutions.
  • Help colleagues apply AI tools confidently, responsibly and effectively in their everyday work.
  • Spot opportunities where AI and automation can improve efficiency, service and user experience.
  • Support pilots, testing and the rollout of new technology.
  • Create clear, practical user guides, knowledge articles and learning materials.
  • Coach and support colleagues, and help develop new members of the team.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in an IT support, service desk or technology support environment, including guiding, mentoring or supervising colleagues.
  • A real interest in AI, automation and how these tools are reshaping professional services.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge, ideally including Microsoft Copilot or comparable AI-powered tools.
  • The ability to explain technical and AI concepts in a simple, practical and engaging way.
  • Confidence supporting users of all technical abilities.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.

Desirable: experience of AI adoption, digital transformation or technology change projects; creating training content and knowledge articles; Microsoft Copilot Studio / Power Platform; a professional services or legal environment; or certifications such as CompTIA or ITIL.

How to prepare for a job interview at EIP

Brush Up on Your Technical Skills

For an IT consulting role, be ready to demonstrate your technical prowess. You might face questions on systems integration, cloud technologies, or even troubleshooting specific software. If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.

Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach

IT consulting is all about solving problems for clients. Think about how you can illustrate your approach to a past challenge using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). It's a great way to show how you tackle complex issues and come up with effective solutions.

Know the Business Impact of IT Solutions

When discussing your experiences, focus not just on the tech solutions you implemented, but also on their business impact. Employers want to see that you can connect IT with organisational goals. Prep examples that highlight how your tech contributions improved efficiency or reduced costs for past clients or projects.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

Since IT consulting often involves teamwork and client interactions, expect behavioural questions that assess your interpersonal skills. Be prepared with examples that demonstrate your adaptability, communication skills, and how you handle client feedback. Before the interview, think of situations where you worked closely with clients to create effective IT strategies or changes.
