What do we do? We make it easier and quicker for our clients to develop, launch and manage different embedded insurance products into their distribution channels. We can work with any insurer and supplier, and either provide a full plug & play service, or modularised resources to support sales onboarding, claims handling, claims fulfilment or any other aspect of the product delivery.
About the role: EIP has been appointed to act for a specific insurer client who wishes to bring an innovative proposition for embedded insurance for mobile devices & gadgets to the marketplace during 2025 and beyond. As part of this project, we require seasoned business development experts who understand the mobile device insurance space across Europe. Working closely with our CEO and key stakeholders within our client company, you will spearhead the process of rapidly building the pipeline of prospective customers for this unique offering. Your role will be key in optimising our sales strategy - from lead generation to stakeholder engagement.
What will you do?
- Identify, develop, structure and close complex deals with target client organisations that deliver enduring value to the business.
- Leverage existing connections, to build and cultivate a deep and trusted network of influencers within key target organisations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team and other company stakeholders to grow the EIP brand through representation at industry events and broader networking.
- Guide cross-functional teams, ensuring that pitches to prospective clients are delivered effectively, with clarity on the product solution.
- Build a long-term business development strategy that includes proactively identifying sales pipeline risks and developing mitigation plans.
- Contribute to product innovation by sharing challenges/opportunities identified by prospective clients.
- Manage the growth of the Business Development team by collaborating with the People and Talent team to find and hire the best local Business Development talent on the market.
- Provide regular, accurate reports and forecasts, including detailed insights on qualified pipeline creation, conversion rates, performance and other business development activity metrics.
Within the first months you will:
- Understand how EIP works, understand the proposed insurer and product and become integrated with the team.
- Use your existing contact base within the target sectors and develop new contacts at C-suite level and key roles.
- Assist with guiding and shaping the development of this new-to-market proposition.
- Demonstrate a layered pipeline of sales discussions with strong potential to deliver within 6 to 12 months.
What is essential in this role?
- Experience and strong contacts within industries such as traditional and digital banks, mobile network operators, insurers, retailers and others offering mobile device and gadget insurances to their customers.
- An ability to research potential customers and craft outreach communications to initiate interest.
- Proven ability to build propositions for interested prospects and successfully negotiate same to secured business.
- Experience developing relationships & selling to large consumer-facing brands.
- Experience executing B2B2C distribution models.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present, negotiate and influence at C-suite level.
- Expertise in using data to draw conclusions.
- Fluency in English.
