ER Recruitment are excited to be working with our client, an established and busy fresh food operation in North East Leicestershire, looking for an experienced Fresh Food Counter Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of the business.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of the operation, leading a team, maintaining standards and ensuring customers receive an excellent experience.
Role & Responsibilities of the Fresh Food Counter Supervisor:
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the fresh food counter, ensuring high standards of service, presentation and efficiency Be visible and hands-on on the shop floor, leading by example and providing clear direction to the team Manage staff rotas, working hours, attendance and performance, ensuring the team is appropriately resourced Take responsibility for food safety, health & safety and environmental health requirements, ensuring procedures and records are maintained Manage stock ordering, rotation, availability and waste, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and commercial performance Deal confidently with customer queries and operational issues, taking ownership and resolving problems quickly About You as the Fresh Food Counter Supervisor:
Previous experience within fresh food retail, food retail, hospitality, catering or a similar customer-facing environment A confident people leader who is comfortable setting expectations, holding people accountable and commanding respect Hands-on and operational, with a strong visible presence and a willingness to lead from the front Good knowledge of food safety, health & safety and environmental health requirements Highly organised with experience of rotas, staffing, stock control and maintaining operational standards A strong communicator who is practical, proactive and confident making decisions and solving problems Please note by applying for this role you give consent for ER Recruitment to retain your CV for up to 24 months for the purposes of assisting you to find your next role unless you notify us otherwise.
