The Company: ER Recruitment are excited to be working with our client, a highly successful and award winning business, who are well known within their industry with 300 staff across the UK. They are now seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic and methodical Payroll Specialist to join their team. Based on the north side of Leicester, our client will give you the opportunity to put all of your talents to good use, developing your career with a growing brand.
Role & Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:
- Assisting the HR Manager to process a fortnightly and a monthly payroll using Sage Payroll, issuing payment via online banking & payslips to employees.
- Accurately maintain the payroll database, including the processing of new starters, employee contractual changes and leavers.
- Liaise with HR Manager to ensure all payroll liabilities are met, including tax and NI, AOEs and salary deductions.
- Record any additional payroll data, such as deductions, bonuses, overtime and submit data to HR Manager for processing.
- Monitor fuels costs and advise employees of any changes in statutory fuel payments.
- Compile a summary from the monthly payroll reports for submission to accounts.
- Resolve any payroll discrepancies and record any complaints, questions and concerns about payroll services and communicate those issues to HR Manager.
- Maintain compliant policies and procedures for processing the payroll and keep abreast of any changes in legislation.
- Liaise with HMRC in the event of a PAYE query or inspection.
- Carry out any other duties and tasks required by management.
About You as the Payroll Specialist:
- Experience of Sage Payroll.
- Experience of processing monthly payrolls from start to finish.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines.
- Excellent communication & organisation skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
