The Company

At ER Recruitment, connecting people is in our DNA.

We're an established, award-winning recruitment consultancy with a reputation for building meaningful relationships and delivering recruitment solutions that make a lasting difference.

Founded by Eileen Perry MBE DL, who brings over 30 years of recruitment industry experience, ER was built on a simple belief: recruitment should be about quality, relationships and understanding people, not simply filling vacancies.

We work with an exciting portfolio of clients across the East Midlands and beyond, supporting businesses with everything from individual appointments to senior-level executive search, interim recruitment and wider recruitment and retention solutions.

Our work is varied, our relationships are genuine and we're proud to work with some fantastic businesses and recognised brands.

We're now looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join Team Purple.

This is an opportunity to become part of an established and well-connected business, working alongside an experienced team, developing client relationships and helping talented people find their next opportunity.

We want someone who enjoys recruitment, brings commercial thinking and energy, and is excited by the opportunity to contribute to the continued success of ER Recruitment.

Role & Responsibilities of the Recruitment Consultant

  • Building and developing strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their businesses, recruitment challenges and future requirements.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and proactively developing relationships with prospective clients.
  • Sourcing, engaging and assessing high-quality candidates through a variety of channels, building strong talent pipelines across different sectors and disciplines.
  • Conducting candidate interviews, providing career advice and managing the selection process through to offer and placement.
  • Writing engaging job adverts, preparing candidate profiles and presenting suitable talent to clients.
  • Keeping up to date with market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to identify opportunities and provide valuable insight.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to share knowledge, ideas and opportunities, contributing to ER's growth and reputation.

About You as the Recruitment Consultant

  • You may have experience in HR, recruitment, talent acquisition or an internal hiring role, and be looking to develop your career in a more varied, commercially focused recruitment environment.
  • A confident relationship-builder who enjoys engaging with people at all levels and backgrounds and developing lasting partnerships.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to recognise opportunities, develop business and deliver results.
  • Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities without compromising on service.
  • An excellent communicator with strong questioning, listening and influencing skills.
  • Resilient, ambitious and motivated by achieving success, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Someone who takes pride in delivering a quality service and genuinely cares about finding the right match.
  • A positive team player who brings ideas, energy and personality, and wants to be part of a supportive and ambitious business.

  • Good basic salary with excellent commission structure.
  • The opportunity to work with an established, award-winning recruitment consultancy and a fantastic portfolio of clients and brands.

  • A supportive, collaborative team culture where initiative is encouraged, ideas are welcomed and success is celebrated.
  • The opportunity to make a genuine contribution to the continued growth and development of ER Recruitment.

Please note by applying for this role you give consent for ER Recruitment to retain your CV for up to 24 months for the purposes of assisting you to find your next role unless you notify us otherwise.
