The Role As a Junior Media Technician, you will be responsible for the creation (mastering) and QC assessment of digital cinema packages (DCPs) of features and episodic content from major studios and OTT clients. Full training will be provided, including mastering and QC of digital cinema packages, and operation of relevant equipment and software tools required to perform your duties. Key Responsibilities Mastering of subtitled, dubbed & original versions of DCPs. DCP integrity checks and validation. Theatrical QC of DCPs, evaluating overall integrity and quality, ensuring picture, audio, and subtitles meet industry standards and studio specifications. Creating QC reports detailing the technical quality and content consistency of all files. Using hardware and software tools such as DVS Clipster, Transkoder, Eikon’s project management and mastering systems, and digital cinema projectors & servers. Basic troubleshooting. Liaising with account managers and internal departments to ensure smooth workflow and meet delivery deadlines. Performing other related tasks as necessary. Skills and Attributes While relevant experience in digital cinema mastering is beneficial, it is not essential as comprehensive training and support will be provided. Your enthusiasm to learn, positive attitude, motivation, and proactive approach to meeting deadlines are critical. Beneficial experience may include: Basic knowledge of picture, audio, and subtitle file formats. Understanding of aspect ratios, resolutions, frame rates, color spaces & audio configurations. QC experience. Familiarity with timeline-based editing tools. Tech-savviness with standard office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office). Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus. Ability to handle sensitive information. Problem-solving skills and multitasking ability. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Educational Background A degree or equivalent in Media Production, Film, or related fields is preferred but not essential with relevant experience. Job Type Permanent – Full Time Working Hours This role follows a 5/2 dayshift pattern alternating weekly (12-hour shifts, 9 am – 9 pm, including weekends and public holidays).
