Eight Versa is a sustainability consultancy working with developers, architects and building owners across the property and construction sector.
We're hiring a Sustainability Consultant to take the lead on client relationships and see projects through to delivery.
You enjoy engaging with clients and take satisfaction in owning projects from the first meeting through to successful completion.
You'll work from our London office as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering BREEAM assessments, planning‑stage sustainability reports, and supporting contractors to build award‑winning buildings.
A background in construction or the built environment and a working knowledge of BREEAM would be ideal.
You’ll work alongside our team of environmental assessment experts and knowledge sharing will be a priority.
We invest in training, mentoring and professional development giving you the opportunity to build your expertise throughout your career with us.
What we value most are strong project delivery skills, a proactive approach, and a genuine desire to learn and develop.
Your Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for our clients, and the person they turn to when it matters.
- Get to the heart of what each client needs and ensure that is delivered and adds real value.
- Lead and chair client meetings and guide clients through project delivery.
- Take ownership of projects, from start to finish; coordinate the internal team and make sure the work is always delivered on time and to a consistent high standard.
- Spot problems early and deal with them before they become delays.
- Grow existing relationships and support business growth by showing clients what we do and the value it creates.
Personal attributes and skills
- You earn client trust quickly and become the person they rely on.
- Highly organised, and comfortable juggling several clients and projects at once.
- A commercial instinct for what a client is after, and how to shape the work around it.
- Confident communicating and presenting to clients at every level, from site manager to board.
- Ambitious and driven, but grounded and down to earth, i. e. the kind of person clients and colleagues want to work with.
- A background in construction, property or the built environment, and a working awareness of BREEAM. Hands‑on assessment experience is a bonus, not a must‑have.
What we offer
- Competitive salary plus a discretionary performance bonus.
- Hybrid working between our London office and home.
- Up to two weeks a year working from abroad.
- Annual leave that grows with length of service.
- A paid day off on your birthday, plus three extra days between Christmas and New Year.
- Private health cover, with perks like gym discounts, cinema tickets and retail offers.
- Enhanced maternity and paternity pay, plus access to qualified financial advisors.
- A dedicated budget for training and qualifications.
- Up to eight hours a month for personal development, innovation or charitable projects.
- A monthly wellbeing cash allowance to spend on what suits you.
