At EKFB we’re shaping Infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects - HS2.

We’re recruiting for a Junior Planner to join our works in Aylesbury. Joining EKFB as a Junior Planner, you will support the Planning function to prioritise and coordinate construction and design activities to maintain delivery of the NC2A section of the C23 Main Civils Works contract. You will build, optimise and update the project plans during project execution, from engineering process to project handover. We would also like you to support our Project Managers and Planning Managers in all scheduling related matters both internally and externally with the client.

You will need to obtain data on the project progress across all functions such as procurement, design, logistics, consents and construction. This will include data on Subcontractors and all project personnel. A key aspect of the role will be to analyse and respond to Subcontractors project plans in order to set robust Contractual baseline schedules, then the progress monitoring thereafter. You must be able to challenge internal and external stakeholders to ensure plans are valid, realistic and appropriate. You will also need to be able to carry out critical path analysis, giving support to the Planning Manager and Delivery Teams in taking actions to improve and optimise Construction Project Plans.

We will also need you to articulate the programme in presentations, conference calls and meetings to internal and external parties. Reports will also be a key part of this role, you must provide timely and accurate reports on planning matters for a range of stakeholders.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • You must have strong construction knowledge and experience
  • The ability to understand and produce short term programmes
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • You must hold a Full UK Driving License and have access to a vehicle

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) security clearance will be required (to be undertaken as part of onboarding process).
