About The Role

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high-speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
We\’re seeking to recruit a Site Engineer with Highways experience in the Brackley area.
The Site Engineer will oversee and supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and drawings.
Responsibilities include liaising with subcontractors and professional staff such as Works Managers, Foremen, Section Engineers, and Sub Agents, checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings, managing contract design documents, and ensuring project packages meet specifications, budgets, and deadlines. The role also involves providing technical advice and resolving on-site issues.
Additional duties include basic setting out, as-built surveys, placing requisitions/material orders, requesting permits, and performing quality controls on subcontracted and self-delivered activities.

  • HNC/Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering, or equivalent, with progress towards ICE membership.
  • Practical knowledge of site engineering and construction supervision.
  • Experience in highway construction is essential.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, GPS, and total stations.
  • Knowledge of UK construction regulations.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Full driving license required.
