About The Role
EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
We're looking to recruit a Section Engineer with Structures experience to join our team based in the Brackley area.
The Section Engineer will manage junior engineers and assist the Sub Agent in construction operations. You will be required to report to the Sub Agent and supervise the site engineering team from construction to close out. You will assist with temporary works design schemes and liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials. You must ensure work activities are carried out to the required standards, programme, and budget.
You will be responsible for managing the site setting‑out team and for identifying and resolving technical problems on site, including monitoring and coordinating subcontractors to ensure their works meet contractual requirements.
Ensuring that the team has all current information and resources required to carry out their duties, you will also assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.

About You
Key Skills and Qualifications
- HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE)
- Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
- Experience in Structures is essential for this role.
- SMSTS is required.
- CSCS White; White/Yellow; Red – Experienced; Black – Manager or Gold – Supervisor.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
