About the Role

EKFB is recruiting a Site Engineer with Earthworks and/or Structures experience to work in the Buckingham area on an 80km section of the HS2 high‑speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. The role involves liaising with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to meet programme, budget and quality targets.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Sub Agent and Section Foreman to manage resources and deliver works to standards.
  • Coordinate and support the setting‑out team, co‑ordinate junior engineers’ performance and development.
  • Identify and resolve technical problems on site in liaison with senior team and Sub Agent.
  • Monitor and coordinate subcontractors to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Provide the team with current information and resources.
  • Assist in producing programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working toward ICE membership.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of site engineering and construction supervision.
  • Experience in heavy structures or drainage is essential.
  • CSCS card (Black, Gold, White, White/Yellow, Red Experienced or Red Provisional 6 months) required.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle required.
