EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works activities to the required standards, programme and budget.
- Work with the setting‑out team and be responsible for the performance and development of junior engineers, identifying and resolving technical problems on site in liaison with the senior team and Sub‑Agent.
- Monitor and coordinate subcontractors in the performance of their works, ensuring they are completed to the contractual requirements.
- Ensure that the team has all current information and resources required to carry out their duties.
- Assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.

Qualifications
- HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE).
- Experience in Earthworks is essential for this role.
- Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
- CSCS card required (Black, Gold, White, White/Yellow, Red Experienced or Red Provisional – 6 months).
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

This includes taking up your references, checking ID, driving licence and your right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre‑employment checks. BPSS security clearance will be required as part of onboarding.
