Overview

EKFB is shaping infrastructure for a better tomorrow through a joint venture among Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. We are recruiting a

Logistics Operations Coordinator for our Routewide team based in Bicester.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and intervene to minimise delays and disruption across Areas C2 and C3 caused by road network problems and activities managed by Operational Support.
  • Ensure the Logistics and Security strategy is adhered to and provide guidance on all related areas.
  • Receive, contact and coordinate communications between all stakeholders to ensure everyone is informed and receives accurate, timely information.
  • Manage movement of vehicles to and from the Contractor’s Working Areas using bespoke systems.
  • Coordinate resources such as breakdown recovery and road cleaning services to minimise disruption to construction activities and ensure legislation is adhered to.
  • Continuously monitor the UK Road Network by obtaining and reviewing information from multiple sources to take appropriate action.
  • Assist in developing effective response plans based on correct operating procedures for incidents, including communication and response coordination.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and other stakeholders to develop efficient, effective and sympathetic logistics solutions to support the scheme.
  • Ensure the business complies with regulations, update policies and processes when required and maintain records proving vehicle fleet compliance.
  • Provide advice and guidance to peers and operators on logistics issues and improve the operational performance of the Logistics and Security team while minimising operational downtime.
  • Implement, maintain and develop policies and processes to keep the Logistics and Security team effective and efficient while educating staff with industry concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in creating and implementing KPI’s.
  • Experience working in a team environment, managing customer relationships and thriving in high‑tempo environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • You must hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

As part of the client’s commitment to upskilling logistics professionals, you should either hold or be working towards an appropriate nationally recognised standard endorsed by the Chartered Institute for Logistics and Transport, the Chartered Management Institute or another relevant professional body.
