At EKFB we’re shaping Infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high‑speed rail projects. We are recruiting for an Interface Coordinator to join our team based in Milton Keynes. The role supports the Head of Interfaces in end‑to‑end governance of Undertakings & Assurances.
In this role, you will monitor and govern the SEm database to ensure plans and evidence are up‑to‑date and commitments can be complied with. Where applicable you will take action for handover, discharge or variation. You will implement early engagement with U&A owners to ensure commitments can be met and complied with, factoring in funding requirements with the client. You will support deep dives and detailed assurance checks using the HORACE platform for investigations and close‑out.
You will support the Work Package Managers (WPM) to identify Undertakings and Assurances for their scope of works, provide training workshops, quarterly audits and ensure site teams adhere to processes. You will investigate potential non‑compliance incidents with the U&A incident reporting timeline of 48 hrs / 15 days and 28‑day close‑out, ensuring lessons are shared through monthly client compliance meetings.
You will support ongoing U&A portal development and administration, keep the intranet page up‑to‑date, and ensure all U&As are ready for discharge or handover as part of the Construction Assurance process. You will manage day‑to‑day administration using SharePoint/BIMXtra and carry out EKFB training and audits as required.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of large‑scale civil engineering projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Document Management Systems and awareness of GIS platforms.
- Understanding of HS2 Act (desirable).
- Aware of the constraints/sensitivities from working in a rural environment.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
