In this role, you will be responsible for coordination of face‑to‑face public events with our Mobile Visitor Centre (MVC) along the HS2 line of route corridor between Gt. Missenden and Southam. You will ensure the MVC is collected from/returned to Bicester, driven to a pre‑agreed location and set‑up prior to each event (typically 2 to 3 half‑days per week). You will support events by capturing feedback and actions and maintain stock‑levels (leaflets, refreshments etc.). You will also ensure that the vehicle and event environment is safe and clean at all times and assist the engagement team with local promotion prior to events (such as the collection of event flyers and door‑to‑door delivery).

Part of this role is to assist with planning and delivery of the wider event programme (virtual and face‑to‑face community centre events during the winter) and assist the team with other engagement activities as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills
  • Can work independently
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive a fleet vehicle (car licence, training provided)
  • Flexibility to travel and work from different locations
  • Flexibility to work outside office hours and seasonally (longer hours during the Summer)
  • Knowledge of the rail/infrastructure/construction industry (desirable)
  • Good general standard of education (desirable)

Benefits:

In return, we are offering a competitive salary and benefits.

Pre‑employment Checks:

It is worth remembering that EKFB will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks if you are successful in the selection process. This includes taking up your references, as well as checking your ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and your right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre‑employment checks. BPSS security clearance will be required (to be undertaken as part of the onboarding process).
