About the Role
At EKFB we’re shaping infrastructure for a better tomorrow. Our joint venture brings together Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall to deliver major railway projects, including one of Europe’s latest high‑speed rail links. We’re recruiting a Commercial Manager to join our team based in the Buckingham area. The role focuses on contract change management. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required for the remote location.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out periodical duties and one‑off tasks in accordance with deadlines and directions from the Senior Commercial Team.
- Develop and deliver the change‑management strategy, including early warning notification, compensation‑event notification and quotation preparation.
- Provide commercial advice, training and support to commercial and delivery teams.
- Liaise with the client to negotiate change, ensuring compliance with business processes and procedures.
- Identify and develop innovations, processes and procedures to improve commercial performance.
About You
- Qualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
- Member of a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS, etc.).
- Experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
- Excellent NEC 3 ECC experience, including the compensation‑event process.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisation skills.
- Hold a full driving licence.

We were appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high‑speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood, covering 15 viaducts, 5km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 67 overbridges and approximately 30 million cubic metres of excavation.
