About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international market‑leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial, and BAM Nuttall. The joint venture specialises in design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including a major high‑speed rail project across an 80 km section of the HS2 link. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team based in the Brackley area. The role provides quasi‑independent design, technical and engineering oversight of all construction matters on behalf of the Contractor’s Engineering Director (SCEW) and Lead Designer (WI 300), and ensures proper execution of works by the construction delivery team.
The Engineering Manager will review, accept and oversee RAMS (WPP) and ITPs on behalf of the CED, manage temporary works coordination and oversight, lead a team of Temporary Works Coordinators, and coordinate permanent works integration. Responsibilities also include technical support for the construction delivery team (NCRs, short‑notice design changes, materials approvals, shop drawings, lab testing, etc.), timely redlining of approved changes, audit and surveillance, and managing Construction Support as described in the ASC (DJV) Stage Two Scope. The Engineering Manager will also partner with ASC to implement a risk‑based approach for reviewing temporary works designs, monitor team performance, conduct quarterly reviews, forecast, and hold budgetary control.

- Experience in major civil engineering works and large infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to coordinate workloads.
- Good communication skills.
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Holder of SMSTS.
- Holder of a CSCS card (White; White/Yellow; Red—Experienced; Black—Manager; Gold—Supervisor).
