Our Event Catering Business Development Manager will help us grow our external catering business by identifying new opportunities across corporate events, private parties, weddings, office deliveries, and large-scale public gatherings.
You’ll build strong client and industry relationships, develop new business opportunities, represent our catering services at events and industry functions, and manage a strong sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across corporate, association, private, wedding, and public event markets.
- Generate leads through market research, networking, client appointments, and industry engagement.
- Achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.
- Develop strategic partnerships with event planners, venues, and industry stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Support repeat business and long-term client partnerships.
- Organise and host familiarisation visits, site inspections, and client engagement activities.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective client handovers and high levels of client satisfaction.
- Plan and conduct sales calls, meetings, and presentations.
- Represent our catering services at exhibitions, trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
- Build a strong professional network across the catering, hospitality, events, and corporate sectors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records.
- Manage and monitor the sales pipeline to ensure opportunities progress effectively.
- Track sales activity and ROI to support commercial decision-making.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activity, pipeline performance, and revenue generation.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support commercial growth.

Selection Criteria
- Three or more years' experience meeting or exceeding sales targets, ideally within catering, hospitality, or events.
- Strong understanding of the outside catering market and industry trends.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to generate new business and develop client relationships.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM systems.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as required.
- Strong, proactive team player with flexibility to meet the needs of the business and clients.
