Chipstead Golf Club is a well-established and welcoming private members’ club set in the picturesque Surrey countryside, near Coulsdon and within easy reach of South London. Known for its beautifully maintained 18‑hole parkland course, the club combines traditional values with a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Members and visitors alike value the club’s strong community spirit, quality facilities, and commitment to providing an excellent golfing experience year-round.

Alongside the course, the clubhouse offers a relaxed social hub with food and beverage services, hosting competitions, private functions, and community events. The club is supported by a dedicated membership base and continues to evolve while preserving its heritage.

Chipstead Golf Club is seeking an experienced and proactive Golf Administrator / Club Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the club and ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for members, guests, and visitors. This is a hands-on and varied role, combining operational management, member relations, administration, and team leadership. The successful candidate will act as a central figure within the club, working closely with the committee and key stakeholders to drive standards, engagement, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that a consistent staffing level is maintained in order to provide the membership and guests with a professional service 7 days a week.
  • Organise, run and publish results of all club competitions electronically along with preparing the clubs annual competitions calendar online via our Intelligent Golf system.
  • Ensure all competition entry fees are collected and paid to Chipstead Golf Club management.
  • Ensure that records are kept of all fees taken and handed to the office secretary.
  • Prepare and run the clubs daily start sheets via our Intelligent Golf system.
  • Maintain and update all membership information on Intelligent Golf and England Golf.
  • Organise all corporate, society day and charity bookings along with ensuring that all correspondence relating to these events are electronically posted on our Intelligent Golf calendar.
  • Organise monthly trophy presentations along with the Club Captain and arrange for the trophies to be engraved.
  • Ensure that the clubs honours board are sign written annually and kept up to date.
  • Attend club committee meetings and prepare minutes of those meeting on behalf of the Club Captain.
  • Meet and greet prospective new members and guests of the club prior to them either joining or holding events at the club.
  • Oversee the development and organisation of the clubs junior policy along with the organisation of junior competitions.
  • Ensure that all buggies are cleaned and put away at night ready for the next day’s play.
Additional duties relating to the Club’s business:
  • Work closely with the Club’s Administration Secretary to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Club.
  • Attend club business related meetings on a quarterly basis with the Clubs management.
  • Monitor staff performance and maintain staff disciplinary procedures when needed.
  • Liaise with all staff members to ensure performance and continual development of the clubs facilities.
  • Monitor all aspects of the course management and maintenance alongside the Course Manager and his team.
  • Work alongside the Clubs management to ensure that we are competitive in the local market and ensure that we are providing attractive membership packages.
  • Ensure that good lines of communication are kept between the membership and the clubs management and vice versa.
  • Work closely with the clubs Health and Safety Advisor to ensure safe working practice.
  • Collection of the following monies: Membership Fees (be responsible for organising payment plans if required), Green Fees, Buggy Fees (Maintain records of all monies collected above).

An understanding of Intelligent Golf and England Golf systems are essential along with working experience within a golf club structure.

  • 1st April to 31st October 8.00 till 6.00
  • Saturday and Sunday Competition days 1st April to 31st October 7.30 till 6.00
  • 1st November to 31st March 8.00 till 4.30/5.00
  • Saturday and Sunday Competition days 1st November to 31st March 7.30 till 4.30/5.00
