As a well-established wine importer with origins dating back as far as 1875, Ehrmann’s is today a leading wine supplier to multiple channels within the wine trade. Ehrmann’s broad supply base of family-owned wineries from over 30 suppliers from 15 countries ensures that it delivers the right products, at the right quality and the right price.

The On Trade National Account Manager will be tasked with nurturing an existing portfolio of stable, secure partnerships as well as targeting premium new business within the National and Regional On-trade including Wholesalers and National and Regional On-Trade Pub Chains where you will already have existing relationships with key buyers and can leverage those relationships to gain new business. You will be an experienced, commercially astute National Account Manager with experience and knowledge in the National On-Trade market. Whilst you will need to be highly sociable and able to work autonomously, the National Account Manager will have the full team support in an encouraging environment and all the tools needed to become an expert in the market. It's important that you are able to manage full P&L for a high value territory so strong commercial sales skills and data skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage & support key UK customer relationships (via wholesalers and direct)
  • Build and develop new On Trade customers for both brand exclusive label business.
  • Manage the UK On-Trade P&L.
  • Develop and implement a 3-year commercial strategy for the UK On-Trade.
  • Manage and activate our brand in existing accounts.
  • Manage an investment budget for accounts where relevant.
  • Accurate forecasting and management of the P&L.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years sales/commercial experience, the candidate MUST come from an Account Management background with experience of the Wine trade with existing relationships with key contacts.
  • Ideally WSET Qualification level 2 and above
  • A strong ability to forecast accurately and an attention to detail.
  • Entrepreneurship and an eye for new opportunities
  • Well-developed written & verbal communication, presentation skills
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; proficient in Excel
  • Highly developed negotiation and account management skills
  • Passion for the drinks industry
  • Happy to get ‘hands dirty’ and get involved in all that is going on at Ehrmann’s Wines
