Overall Purpose: Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Advisor plays a key role in supporting the organisation’s HR strategy by providing expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on all HR-related matters. This includes employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and policy implementation. The HR Advisor ensures that HR practices are compliant with employment legislation and aligned with organisational values, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage employee relations issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management, ensuring timely and legally compliant resolution.
- Support recruitment and selection processes, including job advertising, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Support managers with performance management, including appraisals, probation reviews, and capability issues.
- Maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Coordinate learning and development initiatives, including identifying training needs and sourcing appropriate solutions.
- Monitor and report on HR metrics (e.g. absence rates, turnover, engagement).
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives aligned with strategic objectives.
- Keep up to date with changes in employment law and HR best practices, ensuring continuous improvement in HR processes.
