Full time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday). East Hampshire District Council is embarking on a new journey and is building a team that will help shape its new future. East Hampshire is a beautiful district, benefiting from the South Downs National Park together with historic market towns, attractive villages and countryside. However, we face the same challenges many do in terms of where to locate new development and how to ensure there is suitable housing for everyone who needs it. An exciting opportunity for a Planning Officer position has arisen within our friendly and busy Development Management Team. Working in an exceptionally beautiful and scenic part of the country, you can expect to deal with a wide range of planning applications, appeals and related enquiries. The post would suit either a recent graduate looking to embark on their career or a candidate with some experience of working in a Development Management team. The right person will have excellent organisational and communication skills, together with a positive outlook.

The position will comprise a hybrid style of working, as a mix of both home and office-based working, to suit the work/life balance of the successful applicant.
