The predicted salary is between 27410 - 30293 £ per year.

Grade 3 – £27,410 – £30,293 per annum FTE (based on 37 hours – pay award pending). Part time – 18½ hours per week (Wednesday to Friday). Permanent.

Licensing – duties involve administration and enforcement related to the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, pavement cafés, street trading, road closures, scrap metal dealers and hackney carriage and private hire vehicles and drivers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily administrative functions of the Licensing Team using IT systems (Outlook, SharePoint, specialist cloud‑based licensing system).
  • Handle applications with high degree of confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Support Licensing Officers in enforcement work, communicating with customers on licensing requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Maintain high organisational, multi‑tasking and prioritisation skills to meet short statutory targets.
  • Assist with hybrid working schedule (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday; minimum one day in office).
Qualifications & Experience
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi‑task.
  • Prior experience in a customer‑facing role desirable.
  • Motivation to learn, enthusiasm to work in a team and willingness to take on responsibility.
  • Strong communication skills to advise customers.
  • Ability to process confidential information accurately.
