Petersfield / Hybrid Remote

We're looking for a Community Outreach Officer (Ukraine) to support Ukrainian households to sustain their housing, build independence and develop strong connections within their local communities. This rewarding role focuses on preventing homelessness, supporting tenancy sustainment and helping individuals access employment, training, welfare support and local services. A key part of the role is bringing people together, helping the Ukrainian community to establish formal networks of support and strengthening community resilience across East Hampshire.

You'll work directly with Ukrainian households, providing practical advice and support. Alongside this, you'll work with the Community Project Officer (Ukraine), local organisations, volunteers and partner agencies to develop community-led support networks.

The role also involves supporting the planning and delivery of community events and projects that respond to local need, encourage participation and promote integration within the wider East Hampshire community. You'll play an important role in empowering residents, building confidence and helping people access the support they need to thrive.

About you

You'll be passionate about supporting people to build independent lives and strong community connections. You'll have experience in housing, community support or a related field, with excellent communication and partnership-working skills.

We're looking for someone who can build positive relationships, engage with vulnerable residents and work confidently with a range of local organisations and agencies. You'll play a key role in developing support networks within the Ukrainian community, reducing isolation and helping to deliver community events that promote integration and wellbeing.

You'll be organised, able to manage a varied caseload and maintain accurate records. A strong understanding of the Ukrainian community in East Hampshire and the ability to provide bilingual English/Ukrainian support are essential.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

DBS: Basic check will be undertaken for successful candidate.

Please refer to the role profile for the full details and requirements for this role.

In return for your valued contribution, we can offer you a competitive benefits package which includes hybrid working options, training and development opportunities, generous annual leave and flexi time, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and more.
