We are seeking a passionate and results driven individual to lead our Revenues Processing Team, delivering quality services to our residents and businesses.
Responsibilities
- Leading a busy team, you will be responsible for the administration, billing, and collection of Council Tax, requiring in-depth knowledge and experience of local taxation legislation and practice.
- Experience in a supervisory role is ideal, but we can support someone looking to take their first step into a more senior position.
- You will need to be self-motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering excellent customer service, maintaining and building effective relationships with officers and other key stakeholders.
- Be able to resolve problems effectively, contribute to business process improvements, and offer legislative guidance to officers, residents, and partners.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and mediation skills are essential.
- Demonstrate a track record of dealing with complex casework, resolving customer complaints, and leading by example.
Qualifications
- You must have at least 3 years' previous experience of working in a Revenues and Benefits service.
- Appointment to the post will be subject to a BPSS check.
