Security Design Engineer

Security Design Engineer – Asset Intelligence Location: Warrington (or nearby) Business Unit: Asset Intelligence Type: Full-time We are seeking a proactive Security Design Engineer to join our Asset Intelligence team, supporting high-profile Critical National Infrastructure projects. You’ll lead technical design, site visits, and security integration, working closely with internal teams and specialist subcontractors. Key Responsibilities * Lead site surveys and act as design liaison for security systems. * Develop specifications from site visits and 3D scans. * Review and validate subcontractor designs, specifications, and pricing. * Produce design documentation (layouts, equipment schedules, cable specs, network architecture). * Manage change control, design approvals, and support effective handover. * Contribute to tender documentation and assist in gaining security accreditations. * Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, client specifications, and CDM regulations. What We’re Looking For * Experience in Access Control, CCTV (analogue/IP), Intruder Alarms, Audio Challenge, Intercoms. * Familiarity with ARC/RVRC integration and physical security system design. * Knowledge of Thames Water systems preferred. * Working experience with AMTECH, AutoCAD, and Microsoft tools. * Understanding of BIM/PAS 1192, CDM, and temporary works. * ONC/HNC/BEng or equivalent qualification. * Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills.
