We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager for a well-established organisation operating within the EV charging and energy infrastructure sector. The successful candidate will take ownership of the full bid lifecycle, with a strong focus on public-sector tenders across the UK. Submissions should be compliant, competitive, and strategically aligned to maximise win rates and support continued business growth.

Working closely with commercial, technical, and operational teams, you will lead bid planning, draft and refine high-quality responses, manage timelines, interpret procurement requirements, and coordinate contributions from subject matter experts. You will also oversee opportunity qualification, develop win strategies, and ensure all submissions reflect the company's capability, innovation, and value proposition. You will support pricing strategies, ensure compliance with procurement portals, and manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely, high-quality tender responses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end bid process across frameworks, DPSs, and competitive tenders
  • Coordinate the bid response team, including writers, SMEs, and external partners
  • Develop win strategies, response plans, and compliance matrices
  • Interpret tender documentation and evaluation criteria to structure high-scoring responses
  • Manage timelines, workloads, and progress tracking across multiple bids
  • Draft, edit, and quality-assure written content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency
  • Liaise with procurement portals and ensure submissions meet all technical requirements
  • Monitor procurement portals and manage opportunity alerts
  • Support pricing and commercial strategy alongside commercial and finance teams
  • Maintain a library of case studies, technical content, CVs, and policy documents
  • Lead post-bid reviews and implement lessons learned to improve future performance
Requirements
  • Proven experience leading bids for public-sector contracts
  • Experience in EV charging, energy infrastructure, utilities, or other related sectors (transferable backgrounds considered)
  • Strong understanding of UK public procurement processes, including CCS frameworks and DPSs
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication with experience producing high-quality bid content
  • High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership
  • Confident working with procurement portals (e.g. Bravo, Proactis, Jaggaer, Delta, Atamis)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
Desirable
  • APMP Foundation or Practitioner certification
  • Experience in EV infrastructure, renewables, transport decarbonisation, or grid connections
  • Familiarity with social value, net-zero strategy, and UK sustainability policies
  • Experience working on consortium or multi-partner submissions
