The Role: Fibre Pre-Installation Engineer

This role is essential in ensuring our full-fibre connections are properly prepped and ready before installation. You’ll be working both underground and overhead to deliver seamless fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) service.

Key responsibilities:

*

Prepare customer properties for fibre installation, including underground and overhead work

*

Carry out slot trenching or utilise Openreach ducts to ensure safe and secure fibre coil placement

*

Overhead duties include working from poles to deliver fibre directly to properties

*

Identify and report any obstructions such as blockages, tree interference, or required civils work

*

Support installation teams when needed and contribute to wider operational goals

*

Ensure tools, equipment, and vehicles are well maintained and fit for purpose

*

Pull in subducts/cables and complete rodding/roping tasks as required

*

Maintain accurate records and complete all digital reporting and forms

*

Engage professionally with customers and manage their expectations throughout the process

What We’re Looking For

Skills and experience:

*

Experience in underground and overhead fibre installations

*

Signage, lighting, and guarding knowledge

*

MEWP qualified

*

Strong understanding of fibre installs and basic civils knowledge

*

Basic IT competency

*

Team-oriented with a positive attitude

*

Full, clean UK driving licence
