The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to undertake the maintenance and repair of the Gas Plant of buildings as required under contract. You will be responsible for properties like schools, libraries and care homes. You must ensure all PPM and reactive tasks are completed to the required legislative standards and all required paperwork is completed and submitted within timescales. You will have the choice to participate in the On-Call Rota.
You should be capable of monitoring visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and health and safety. You need to issue appropriate permits, control small work and escort duties as required. You must ensure all certification is correctly completed and remedial works clearly identified.
You will have a full current driving licence. You must have a strong customer care focus, good communication skills and proactive skills. You should be able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults. You must be capable of completing essential paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
The ideal candidate should hold commercial gas tickets or be qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant disciplines to the role. You must have experience of maintenance, testing and fault finding on a variety of equipment such as boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable). You should have strong knowledge of health and safety and safe working practices.
