Due to an increase in workload and some major project wins, our client has exciting new opportunities for Commissioning Managers to join our team working on customer sites across the M3/M4 corridor.

Responsibilities

The role involves managing the commissioning processes related to MEP Services, from project inception through installation, testing, commissioning, system integration, demonstration, handover, sign-off, and training of the systems to the client and their representatives.

Pre-Construction Phase:

  • Lead and manage the commissioning process as the Commissioning (CX) Manager.
  • Conduct commissioning-ability assessments and produce reports, including reviews of drawings, schematics, specifications, and manufacturer proposals.
  • Create design review reports highlighting additional requirements for on-site commissioning.
  • Develop detailed Commissioning Plans and Strategies, including outlining system requirements, testing levels (FAT, Component Verification, Field Inspections, SAT, IST), Responsibility Matrices, training needs, and construction specifications.
  • Identify commissioning activities, dependencies, and integrate them within the project programme, collaborating with the construction team to align with construction activities.

Construction, Testing, and Commissioning Phase:

  • Further develop and manage the Commissioning Plan and Strategy, including detailed testing documentation and scripts.
  • Manage commissioning and testing personnel on site.
  • Oversee the commissioning tagging process and procedures.
  • Report progress internally and externally on all commissioning activities.
  • Communicate delays or issues to the Project Manager.
  • Organize and lead commissioning meetings and activities.
  • Attend client commissioning meetings and report progress.
  • Develop the project commissioning schedule in collaboration with the project team.
  • Compile and verify all testing and commissioning documentation, signing off on results.
  • Manage the project commissioning schedule alongside other trades and stakeholders.
  • Track manpower and site operations related to commissioning daily.
  • Oversee subcontractor activities, progress, and manpower levels.

Qualifications

Relevant degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (ONC, HND, or Degree).

Proven experience in commissioning management within mechanical and/or electrical infrastructure.
