Showroom Assistant, EH Smith Design Centre – Digbeth

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Showroom Assistant to join the team at our Design Centre based in Digbeth, Birmingham. This role will be key to the operations of the Design Centre as you will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors. Your role will be to ensure a professional and friendly welcome while providing effective administration support to keep the Design Centre running smoothly.

Key Tasks

  • Providing excellent customer service to clients and visitors: meeting and greeting, offering refreshments, understanding the requirements of their project
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the sales team
  • Coordinate showroom diary and presentations; facilitate meetings and events at the showroom, including out of hours events
  • Reporting all showroom leads in a professional and timely manner and forwarding to the sales team to action
  • Responsible for showroom sampling; coordinate stock levels of sample stock
  • Liaise with manufacturers to keep showroom and sample room up to date with the latest products
  • Create and track all shipments for the showroom
  • Ensure that the showroom is tidy, organised and stocked
  • Participate in out of hours team and industry events

The Person

We require a confident communicator with a positive, friendly and approachable attitude. You will need to have strong organisational and multitasking skills, whilst also being proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ideally you will have previous experience in similar customer facing roles, such as hospitality or customer service
