We're looking for an experienced and qualified Team Leader to join us: someone who's ready to lead shifts, support their colleagues and make a genuine difference to the young people in our care every day.

We'd welcome applications from experienced Senior RSWs ready to step up into their first Team Leader role, as well as those already working at Team Leader level looking for a fresh opportunity.

About the Role

As a Team Leader at EH Care, you will lead shifts in our children's residential home, acting as the responsible person on shift and providing guidance and support to Residential Support Workers throughout the day.

You will help ensure the home runs safely, consistently and to a high standard, building positive relationships with the young people in our care, following their care plans, and making sure every shift is well managed and properly recorded.

This is a hands-on role.

You'll work directly with the young people as well as leading your team, and you'll be the key point of contact for the shift in the absence of the Deputy or Registered Manager.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and managing shifts, keeping young people safe, engaged and well-supported
  • Acting as the responsible person on shift in the absence of senior management
  • Supervising and guiding Residential Support Workers during your shifts
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare and development of the young people in our care
  • Ensuring care plans and placement plans are followed at all times
  • Accurately completing daily logs, incident forms and records
  • Ensuring all staff on shift adhere to policies, procedures and safeguarding obligations
  • Building consistent, positive relationships with the young people in the home
  • Liaising with the wider team, management and external professionals as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting
  • Experience leading or supervising shifts
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection and Ofsted requirements
  • Calm, reliable and consistent; someone the team and young people can depend on
  • Previous Team Leader or Senior RSW experience
  • Experience supporting young people with emotional or behavioural needs
  • Full UK driving licence
