GEMS - TBS (The British School El-Rehab) invites applications from dedicated and experienced Primary Teacher professionals to join our Primary Department for the Academic Year 2026-2027. The appointed candidate will be responsible for delivering exemplary instruction in accordance with the British Curriculum and actively contributing to the broader school community.
Important note: The position is based in Cairo, Egypt, and we are looking for candidates who are willing to relocate.
Key Responsibilities- Design, prepare, and deliver comprehensive lessons aligned with the British Curriculum
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate the diverse needs of all students
- Effectively assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Maintain constructive and professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Contribute actively to curriculum development and enrichment initiatives
- Engage in school meetings, continuous professional development (CPD), and extracurricular activities
- Consistently adhere to school policies and safeguarding protocols
- A Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education or a closely related discipline
- Possession of a recognized teaching qualification (such as PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent credential)
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of teaching experience, preferably within the British Curriculum framework
- Native proficiency in the English language
- Exemplary classroom management capabilities
- A genuine passion for teaching and a steadfast commitment to the academic and personal development of students
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a multicultural environment
