The Cybersecurity Threat Analyst works in the KnowBe4 Threat Research Lab and is responsible for creating solutions and models to detect threats in KnowBe4’s target markets and products.

  • Analyzes threat data and implements technical solutions
  • Innovates and creates extensions to detection paradigms in end-to-end fashion
  • Reviews, understands and reverse engineers phishing attacks and technologies
  • Understands and implements broader attack vectors
  • Develops detection algorithms (Python, C#) and extracts identifying features of phishing emails
  • Understanding human behaviour and communications, and how they can be exploited by attackers
  • Uses machine learning to identify broader phishing trends and how to protect against them

Requirements:

  • BS or equivalent plus 2 years experience
  • MS or equivalent plus 1 year experience
  • Experience with phishing
  • Statistical analysis skills
  • Intermediate Python and C# abilities
  • Demonstrable experience in quickly learning and adapting to new areas of technology
  • Ability to think outside the box and/or think maliciously to deliver creative solutions
