Due to internal changes, an ambitious Financial Services business in the Durham area has a superb opportunity for an experienced Financial Adviser. The business prides itself on having achieved Chartered status and has delivered sound financial advice over many years to clients predominantly in the North East area, with a focus on delivering a personal and quality service. They have adopted a modern approach and embrace technology. With almost 1000 clients, they are now in a period of growth and require an additional Financial Adviser to support their clients. This is a rare opportunity where the calibre and personality of the individual is paramount and the technical ability can be developed.

The Adviser will benefit from a positive and supportive work culture, experienced paraplanning and administrative staff, and an extensive, established client bank. This is a servicing role which will be office based for client meetings or working from home to conduct online meetings, offering an element of flexibility for the right candidate. There is a very generous bonus structure based on new business (from existing), client referrals and behaviours/compliance, with the Adviser being rewarded on client feedback, growth and retention.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Build relationships and service a range of clients (between 150/200) - these will be phased in
  • Provide advice across pensions, investments and protection products
  • Identify and develop additional business from existing clients
  • Conduct regular service reviews
  • Prepare cash flow modelling for clients
  • Adhere to regulatory standards

Candidate Requirements:

  • Hold SPS /CAS status
  • Possess sound knowledge of a range of financial products
  • Either restricted or whole of market background
  • Knowledge of long-term care would be desirable
  • Competent IT skills with experience of Voyant (or cash flow modelling software) and Calendy, desirable
  • Be a 'safe pair of hands'
  • Professional with a relaxed manner, a credible individual
  • Likeable with traditional values - polite and appropriate
  • Has the ability and desire to deliver an outstanding service

Benefits:

  • Hours: Flexibility with hours (full-time)
  • Holidays: 27 plus stats (close at Xmas and 7 must be retained), negotiable
  • Pension: 3%/5% can be increased with salary sacrifice
  • Additional benefits under review currently
