We are recruiting a dedicated and passionate Salaried GP to contribute to our commitment to high-quality patient care at Eglwysbach Medical Practice in Pontypridd, near Cardiff.

Location: Pontypridd, near Cardiff

Sessions: 4 per week (Monday and Wednesday)

Salary: Β£11,576 per session

Fixed term: 12 months

About us:

Our vision is to promote and deliver an effective family healthcare service and a rewarding environment for staff. Our mission is that Eglwysbach Medical Practice is committed to providing a personalised healthcare service in a well-managed environment. We are a 7 Partner, 6 Salaried GP practice based in the town centre of Pontypridd, with branches at Tonteg and Ynysybwl. We have a full complement of nurses and pharmacists supported by our receptionist/administrators and practice manager. We are a training practice with a great ethos for education and promoting a healthy work/life balance.

Job responsibilities:

  • Our Practice Team – 7 partners, 6 salaried GPs, plus a GP retainer and 2 prescribing pharmacists.
  • Chronic disease management and minor illness, led by a senior nurse prescriber.
  • High-achieving Practice with excellent admin support.
  • Training Practice – Supporting GP trainees, F2 doctors, medical students, pharmacy and nursing students.
  • Enhanced Services – Joint injections, minor surgery, long-acting contraceptives, MS reviews, and Care Home service special interests encouraged!
  • Modern Systems – Paper-free EMIS system, WCCG, GPTR.
  • Active in Cluster Work – shaping local healthcare initiatives.
  • Flexible Consultations – A mix of telephone and face-to-face appointments.
